This airport, located in the city of Green in southern Summit County (right between Akron and Canton) is an excellent option for US getaways – especially to Florida. The small airport only sees about 800,000 passengers per year (as opposed to the 10 million passengers who use Cleveland Hopkins each year), and is a much more relaxed air travel experience.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is the largest airport in the state of Ohio, but Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) is another airport located approximately one hour to the south.
We’ve already shared the best direct flights from Cleveland. Since it’s a much bigger travel hub, Cleveland is where you’ll want to look if you’re planning to fly to an international destination like Mexico, the Caribbean, or Europe.
But if you live closer to Akron or Canton, CAK might be your airport of choice.
