Where will you be watching fireworks this year?

Amanda was born and raised in northeast Ohio, and has always been a fangirl of her home state. Now, she’s sharing her love of the Cleveland area, highlighting all the best things to do, see, and eat in the CLE. She’s been running Cleveland Traveler since January 2019.

Hi Amanda, I also love Cleveland. I am a hometown girl from 81 years ago. I am so
Amazed at all the changes. So many improvements. But then I remember riding
On the streetcar as a child and dressing up to go to downtown Cleveland to shop at May co, Higbees, Halle Bros along with Sterli g lender Davis. So many memories.
As a child I saw the Peter Pan movie at the
Palace Theatre in the balcony. We drive into Cleveland many times during the year. I really miss Lolley the Trolley. Such a great way to view our amazing city. Is there anything that has taken there place?
I’m sure you have so many great stories, Carol! Lolly hasn’t been directly replaced, sadly, though there are some great walking tour options now through Take a Hike, and the Funny Bus does fun comedy-led bus tours around the city! There are also some holiday bus tours every year to look at Christmas lights.
